Get to Know Elizabeth Darrell - Summer 2019 Intern

From her love of an aesthetically pleasing Instagram grid to her passion for fashion, our Summer 2019 Intern, Elizabeth Darrell answers some questions to get to know her better.

Where you are now?

I'm currently a senior at Rowan University in New Jersey, double majoring in Public Relations and Theatre. I'm also a sister of the Gamma Delta chapter of Theta Phi Alpha!

Is what you’re doing now what you thought you’d be doing when you were a kid?

I always knew I wanted to study Theatre as a kid, but Public Relations and media related work are something I got into around freshman year of college. I love the creativity.

Do you have a job currently?

I work in the leasing office of an apartment complex in New Jersey, and I help them with their marketing and events.

If you could work with a major brand, who would it be?

I'd love to work with any major fashion brand! But if I had to pick one, it would probably be Urban Outfitters, since I get a lot of inspiration from their whole vibe.

Where is your favorite place to work/study? 

I love working in little cafe shops. Give me some headphones, my laptop, and a coffee and I'm ready to get to work.

When you’re not working/studying, how do you spend your time?

I spend a lot of time with my friends from school and greek life, and I like working on my fashion blog in my spare time. Also shopping. Lots of shopping!

Which social platform is your favorite?

Instagram, by far. Nothing's better than an aesthetically pleasing grid.
Which Instagram filter is your favorite?

I'm more of a VSCO gal myself, but if I had to pick I'd probably say Juno!

Which emoji do you use most?

Tie between 🤪 and 😎.
Where is your happy place?

I enjoy going to the gym and exploring new cities/cool places. Just about anywhere with lots of people and activity is my happy place.
Which song makes you unconditionally happy?

Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa by Vampire weekend is the perfect mix of chill and upbeat! It can always put me in a good mood.
How do you like your coffee?

Lots of milk, sugar, and flavor. The less it tastes like coffee the better.
Where is your favorite spot in Pennsylvania?

I love South Street in Philly. The art, the people, the food. There's always something new and creative to see. It's definitely the spot for a fun afternoon!

What is your biggest accomplishment?

Getting through college with two majors, a part-time job, greek life, and rehearsals will be a major accomplishment for me! 

What’s the goal after college?

After college, I'm hoping to find full-time Social Media Management work and work on my acting career and fashion hobbies. I'm pretty flexible and open to whatever comes my way!
